About TruPro Roofing

Real People. Honest Work. Local Service You Can Trust.

At TruPro Roofing, we believe in doing things differently — because we’ve seen what happens when roofing companies cut corners and treat customers like numbers. That’s not who we are.
Founded by Bruce and Joel, Tru Pro was built out of a desire to bring honesty, hands-on service, and real customer care back to the roofing and exterior industry. After working with another company that felt robotic and impersonal, they knew homeowners deserved better — and they set out to provide it.

What Our Customers Say About Us

Meet The Team

Bruce Rajan

Roofing professional in blue polo shirt standing in front of a truck.

I grew up in Chicago, IL, and have lived in several places in the Midwest before moving down to Texas in 2015. I’ve been in the construction field for 7 years.

In my free time, I mostly enjoy being active. Some of my favorite activities are, running, playing racket sports and basketball. When I’m not being physically active, I am doing puzzles or spending quality time with my family.

I enjoy coming to work everyday because our team is filled with positive, high energy individuals who are rockstars at making peoples’ lives better. As a company, we take pride in our relationships with customers. We understand that construction projects can be an emotional process. We spend time truly understanding our customers wants and needs so we can help build a home they can be proud of!

I grew up right here in Willis, TX and still live here today. My daughter goes to the same schools I did when I was growing up.

I am Co-Owner/Founding Member of TruPro Roofing & Renovations and bring a combined 6 years of experience with home renovations and commercial property maintenance and have experience in many of the skilled trades we are involved in every day. Before getting into this line of work, I spent 10 years as a mechanic serving over-the-road truck drivers, Oil Field machines and equipment, and fleets of various sizes including pick-up trucks and construction equipment. Even owning my own mobile repair business for 3 years before injuries took me out of the field.

Things I find passion in include spending time with my friends, family, and my dogs. Reading and learning new skills, fishing, riding my motorcycle, off-roading, shooting guns, camping, and spending time on Lake Conroe boating and swimming. I also love to cook and entertain!

One of the things I love most about my job is how rewarding it is. I take pride in working with people and being able to turn their idea into a reality. Seeing happy faces on our customers after completing a job fills me with a sense of accomplishment and pride that’s almost irreplaceable which is why we go above and beyond to impress our customers.

In high school I was involved in several sports and activities including being in a military style marching band where I played the Tuba. I played football for 10 years growing up and also competed in field events like Shot-Put & Discus and was also involved with powerlifting.

Howdy, y’all! I’m David Krischke—a Texan by birth, a Midwesterner by experience, and a Southerner at heart. I was born and raised in the southern suburbs of Houston, Texas, where I spent my early years. Around the age of seven, my family began moving every couple of years, taking me on quite an adventure. My journey went from Houston to Naperville, Illinois, then to North Louisiana, back to Naperville, and then to Houston again. My next few moves were all in the Chicago suburbs and lasted for about 8 years collectively. From there, I moved to Hudson, Wisconsin, spent a few years in Puerto Rico, returned to Hudson for a bit, and, finally, in 2023, made my way back home to Houston. Now, I reside in the Egypt area, happy to have found my way full circle.

I began working with TruPro Roofing and Renovations on 1/1/2024 as a newcomer to the industry. Bruce introduced me to roofing and helped to guide my journey along the path as I navigated the early stages of my career. What started off as a leap into something new and unfamiliar has developed into an intense passion for the work we do. While my time in the industry is shorter, I am approaching my role with singular focus, outstanding mentorship, and a passion filled career in mind. I’m blessed with the opportunity to help homeowners restore their homes and recover from some of the worse thing’s life can throw at them.

I have a deep passion for helping people in meaningful and tangible ways. This wasn’t always the case, but over time, I’ve realized how fulfilling it is to make a positive impact on others’ lives. It’s a win-win: they benefit from the help, and I feel a profound sense of purpose. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, fishing, hunting, computer gaming, cleaning, playing Dungeons & Dragons, tinkering with remote-control hobbies, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with my cat, Giddian. We go for walks together.

The Lord led me to TruPro Roofing and Renovations, and I couldn’t be more grateful. One day, I knocked on Bruce’s door, and we instantly connected. Little did I know, that moment would lead to life-changing opportunities for growth and self-improvement. With Bruce and Joel as my mentors at TruPro, I’ve been able to develop a new craft and discover an industry that brings me fulfillment and allows for passion in my work. Their guidance has shaped me personally and professionally, steering me toward success. They’ve created an environment focused on constant self-improvement, growth, helping others, and striving for excellence.Working at TruPro is incredibly rewarding because of the company’s culture and values. Everyone here shares an innate desire to help others and make a positive difference in the world. This sets us apart in an industry that can often feel riddled with bad actors. At TruPro, we aim to be a force for good, using our skills and talents to improve the lives of our community, and that’s something I’m proud to be a part of.

I love wearing straw cowboy hats, and don’t watch TV or use social media.

I grew up in northern Ca in a small farming town where everyone knew everyone. It grew so quickly, that over the years it made me and my family venture out in search for that same small town feel, which led us here to Willis, Texas.

I have been in office administration/ customer service for over 15 years and have been with this company for a little over a year now. Some would say it can be intimidating to work in a male dominated industry, but I was up for the challenge and have loved it, and enjoy learning something new everyday.

I’ve always had a passion for helping people, and doing whatever I can to take something difficult off someone’s plate. If I wasn’t in office administration I feel like I would have finished my degree in psychology.
Organization is also a strong suit of mine, and I enjoy creating a helpful system/flow in a workspace, and feel that’s a key component in any company.

I have two kids and they are my everything! When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and having get together’s with friends. I love to curl up to a good book, baking, camping and anything that allows a creative and artistic outlet. I grew up on the water and always love a good boating day. I always like to learn new things and find new hobbies, and love a good adventure! Some of my favorite things I’ve done was scuba diving, bungee jumping, and one time I went on a door-less helicopter tour!

Before working for Tru Pro, I worked at a veterinary hospital for about 6 years and loved being able to “go to work” to cuddle animals all day.
I am also a total nerd by heart and love a good fantasy/sci fi movie or show!

Bruce Rajan

Co-Owner | TruPro Roofing & Renovations

I’m a Chicago kid at heart — raised in the Midwest, shaped by hard work, and wired to always be building something. After graduating from Purdue University in 2012, I spent the next several years as an entrepreneur, cutting my teeth in the music industry before channeling my passion for healthy living into launching a health and wellness company in Austin, TX in 2015. From there, I transitioned into construction services and solar energy consulting, spending two years helping homeowners navigate complex decisions and advocate for solutions that truly made sense for their lives. Those years sharpened something in me — the ability to take a complicated process, break it down simply, and guide people through it with confidence and clarity.
I relocated to Houston in 2020, and in January 2022, TruPro Roofing & Renovations was born. Starting a company from scratch is never easy, but I believed the home services industry needed improving and I set out to do it. Too many homeowners have been left confused, overcharged, or flat-out ignored. I wanted to build something different. A company where transparency isn’t a talking point, it’s how we actually operate. Where customers understand exactly what’s happening with their home, their roof, their insurance claim, and their money every step of the way.
What drives me every day is the team we’ve built and the culture we’ve created together. TruPro is filled with high-energy, genuinely caring people who take pride in making a real difference in someone’s life and home not just completing a job. We invest in each other, we listen to each other, and we hold each other to a high standard. I believe a company is only as good as the people behind it, and I’m proud of the people behind this one.
Outside of work, I stay active — running, basketball, and racket sports keep me sharp and grounded. When I’m not moving, you’ll find me doing puzzles or soaking up quality time with family. That same discipline and consistency I bring to my personal life is exactly how I try to show up as a leader — focused, dependable, and always working to be better.
My vision for TruPro has never changed: To make this industry better than we found it, one customer and one roof at a time.

Joel Gonzales

I’m a Willis, TX native through and through — born here, raised here, and still here today. There’s something deeply meaningful about building a business in the same community where you grew up, where your neighbors are your customers, and where your daughter walks the same school hallways you did. My connection to this place isn’t just sentimental — it’s the fuel behind everything I do. When I show up to a job, I’m not just fixing a house. I’m repairing my neighbor’s home, and that responsibility means everything to me.
Before co-founding TruPro, I spent a decade as a heavy equipment mechanic — servicing semi-trucks, oilfield machinery, and commercial fleets of all sizes. I owned my own mobile repair business for 3 years. I built it from the ground up and learning firsthand what it takes to earn a customer’s trust through skilled, dependable work. When injuries eventually took me out of that field, I channeled everything I’d learned into the home renovation and construction world. I spent the next several years building expertise in home renovations and commercial property maintenance across virtually every trade we work in today. By the time Bruce and I launched TruPro in January 2022, I wasn’t starting over — I was hitting my stride.
What I love most about this work is that I get to turn my neighbors’ ideas into reality. There’s a feeling you get when a customer does a final walkthrough and you can see the pride on their face, and that’s irreplaceable. It’s why we don’t cut corners. It’s why we go above and beyond. And it’s why I hold our team to the same standard I hold myself. We show up, do it right, and leave everything better than we found it.
Outside of work, I’m most at home outdoors. You’ll find me fishing, off-roading, riding my motorcycle, or out on Lake Conroe. I love to cook and entertain! There’s nothing better than bringing people together around good food. I stay active, I keep learning, and I’m passionate about the things I care about. That same energy is exactly what I bring to TruPro every single day.
This community gave me everything. Building TruPro is my way of giving something back.

I’m a Texan by birth, a Midwesterner by experience, and a Southerner at heart. I was born and raised in the southern suburbs of Houston, but around age seven my family began moving every couple of years. It took me from Houston to Naperville, Illinois, then to North Louisiana, back to Naperville, then Houston again, through the Chicago suburbs, up to Hudson, Wisconsin, and eventually to Puerto Rico for a few years before returning to Wisconsin and finally, in 2023, making my way back home to the Houston area for good. It was quite a journey and looking back, every single stop shaped the person I am today. I’ve learned how to connect with people from all walks of life, adapt to new environments, and find common ground just about anywhere. Those are skills that serve me every single day in this work.
I joined TruPro Roofing & Renovations on January 1, 2024, as a newcomer to the industry. I didn’t have a roofing resume. What I had was a willingness to work hard, a genuine desire to help people, and the good fortune of knocking on Bruce’s door at exactly the right moment. We connected instantly, and what I thought might be a new job turned into something I never expected — a calling. Bruce and Joel took me under their wing, invested in my growth, and created an environment where showing up with full effort and genuine heart is not just encouraged, it’s the standard. Under their mentorship, I’ve developed a craft that I’m proud of and discovered an industry that gives me real purpose.
What drives me is simple. I have a deep passion for helping people in meaningful and tangible ways. When a homeowner has just been through one of the hardest things life can throw at them — a storm, a tree through the roof, a failed insurance claim — and we’re able to step in, take the weight off their shoulders, and restore something they love, that’s not just a job. That’s purpose. I don’t take lightly the trust people place in us when they open their door and let us help. I show up for every customer the same way I’d want someone to show up for my own family.
Outside of work, I’m cooking, fishing, hunting, tinkering with remote-control hobbies, playing Dungeons & Dragons, or spending time outdoors. I wear a straw cowboy hat basically every day and I don’t own a TV or use social media. I keep it simple, stay present, and focus on what matters. Serving God and my community.
At TruPro, everyone shares an innate desire to help others and make a positive difference — its something I’m genuinely proud to be a part of. This team is the real deal, and I’m grateful every day that I found my way here.
